QSH Lab-Pal Electrophoresis System (5x7cm)

The IBI "Lab-Pal" has been designed with the teaching lab in mind. The IB50000 utilizes two glass slides, measuring 2" x 3", for casting the agarose. The small glass slide format is ideal for minimizing agarose use while still being an excellent teaching tool for students just learning about the seperation of DNA molecules.

Agarose slides can be cast days in advance and stored in buffer for later use. This helps maximize class time.

The IBI QSH Lab-Pal incorporates a patented vented lid which allows heat to escape from the gel rig, and thus improves the resolution of faster gel runs. Additional safety is incorporated into the lid with the patented gravity electrical connectors, which disconnects the power to the unit when the lid is removed.

The unique, dedicated dual casting system allows casting independent from the unit, while providing maximum efficiency between lab partners. The dual gel casting system eliminates the need for casting tape! The QSH Lab-Pal casting system also allows for numerous gel slides to be cast and stored for later use (when covered with buffer and refrigerated). This feature helps to minimize classroom gel casting time and also maximizes precious classroom teaching time. 

The QSH Lab-Pal is constructed of durable cast acrylic, which allows for years of use and resists cracking or warping!
