The new exciting Waverly® brand pipette tips certainly aren't a new invention, not an attempt to re-create the wheel, but have been remastered to be the best on the market, the most logical choice for every laboratory. We've decided to do away with our line of non-filtered tips in order to consolidate to provide our customers with the best possible product for the best possible price.

In the past, barrier (filtered) tips were much more expensive and only used for special applications (such as biological PCR or RNA work) however we feel they should be the standard for all pipetting applications. The aerosol barrier (filter) prevents cross contamination from one sample to another. When samples are aspirated into a pipette tip, a fine mist or “aerosol” is created, which can get into the pipette. Even if cross contamination is not a concern for you, is it still the best practice to prevent aerosols from entering your pipette to extend the life of your pipette and calibration. 
 
Waverly® brand pipette tips are molded from the highest A+ grade pure virgin polypropylene for crystal clarity, 100% sterility, consistency, durability and to minimize surface retention. All Waverly® plastics are completely and naturally low retention. This means we do not add any type of lubricant like other manufacturers. Instead, we utilize a proprietary process that neutralizes ions on the surface and prevents any liquid from sticking, no matter how viscus. Low-retention without the risk of contamination. Waverly pipet tips are manufactured using brand new state-of-the art German engineered injection molding machines to ensure the best quality and consistency. One of the things this machine allow us to do is make sure the perfect temperatures cycles are used during the molding process to prevent microscopic flaws such as bubbling (air pockets), fraying, poor uniformity, etc.
 
All Waverly® filter tips come Sterile and RNase/DNase free. We have a stringent QC process for every box that is packaged and sealed. The boxes are autoclavable and 100% recyclable.
